Ambra

‘‘Ambra’’ depicts the limbo experienced between the end of adolescence and the beginning of adulthood; documenting its extreme fluidity and the progressive awareness of one’s role within society. This autobiographical project reflects on the distortion around the concept of growth and of ‘’becoming a woman’’, nourished by an overload of inputs coming from the popular television culture in the late 80’s/early 90’s that had portrayed a template of “the popular girl.” One that is beautiful, young and with the dream of becoming a showgirl.
